Graduate Student Intern

I help teens, adults, couples and families from all walks of life who desire the help and support to overcome anxiety, depression, negative mindsets, unhealthy patterns, low self-esteem and trauma. Life is beautiful, but it can be overwhelming juggling many responsibilities at once while dealing with trauma from the past. My personal healing journey has inspired me to help others on their journey to self-discovery. As a first generation American born of Mexican descent, I also have a passion for helping remove the stigma associated with seeking counseling. I speak fluent Spanish.

I support my clients by providing a safe space to share and feel heard and validated. Together, we can work on strategies and solutions for moving forward with mindfulness and self-compassion. My therapeutic style is rooted in the Bowen Family Systems approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I find great joy in helping others to reach their full potential by overcoming the challenges that make them feel stuck and unable to communicate their needs effectively. I equip my clients with skills that can be applied to daily living by helping them to create an environment of self-reflection, responsibility, confidence, and a growth mindset.

I am currently pursuing a master's degree of education in counseling at Lamar University. I obtained a bachelor's in Applied Learning Development from the University of Texas at Austin and have worked as a teacher for many years. In my spare time, I love reading, writing, art, exercising, researching, live music, and spending time with my family.
